Mary A Rakow High School Scholarships


The Lebanon County Association of Realtors® Mary A Rakow Scholarship is open to any 12th grade student graduating from a Lebanon County High School this year.

To be eligible for a scholarship, the applicant must have been accepted to a post-secondary (two or four year) college, university or other accredited degree granting institution or technical school. The applicant should be planning on receiving a degree or diploma and be enrolled in a course of study.

Scholarships will be awarded without regard to sex, race, age, color, national origin, religious creed or disability.


2026 Topic

"Real estate is often one of the largest financial commitments a person or family will make. Describe what exposure to real estate has taught you about budgeting, credit and long-term financial planning. Explain why financial literacy is critical when buying a home and how greater access to real estate education can help break cycles of financial instability."

Application & Rules Process


1.

Applications are to be returned by Tuesday, April 14, 2026  to the Lebanon County Association of REALTORS – 989 Quentin Road, Suite 2, Lebanon, PA 17042 or emailed to exec@wearelcar.com.

2.

Essays must adhere to the given topic and must be typed, double spaced, minimum of 500 words on white paper. All essays must cite sources of materials – books, periodicals, interviews, etc.

3.

All essays become the property of the Lebanon County Association of REALTORS who may publish and distribute them as it sees fit.

4.

The winning essays will be determined by a panel of judges whose decision is final. The panel of judges will review the essays and scholarship recipients will be notified at the beginning of May.

5.

Two scholarships will be awarded – each $750.

6.

Financial need will not be considered when selecting recipients.
